Housing Services

Social housing provides affordable rental housing for eligible households. This includes rent-geared-to-income housing and other subsidized housing options for families, individuals and seniors.

There are more than 1,100 subsidized housing units across St. Thomas and Elgin County, including apartments, townhouses, duplexes and single-family homes.

Most rent-geared-to-income households pay approximately 30% of their gross household income toward rent.

Most social housing providers also have some units available at market rent.
