Water and Sewer Permits
A Water or Sewer Permit is required when a water or sewer service is installed, repaired, replaced, renewed, or altered.
These permits help protect public health and safety by ensuring that water and sewer services are constructed and maintained in accordance with applicable standards and regulations. It is the responsibility of the property owner (or their authorized agent) to obtain a water or sewer permit before work begins when one is required.
When is a Water or Sewer Permit Required?
A permit is required for work involving:
- Water services — including construction, repairs, or alterations
- Sanitary sewer services — including construction, repairs, or alterations
- Storm sewer services — including construction, repairs, or alterations

Permit Fees
Current water and sewer permit fees are:
- Water service construction or repair: $100
- Sanitary sewer construction or repair: $100
- Storm sewer construction or repair: $100
Permit fees are subject to change without notice.

Applications for water and sewer permits are submitted through Building Services, a division of Planning & Building Services.
