St. Thomas-Elgin Children’s Services Announces Two Child Care Waitlists Opening July 6
St. Thomas-Elgin Children’s Services is pleased to announce that waitlists for two local child care sites will open on Monday, July 6 at 10 a.m., providing families with new opportunities to access licensed early learning and child care spaces in the community.
The two participating locations are:

First Place Early Learning Centre (7 Curtis Street, St. Thomas, ON N5P 1H3)

Parkview YMCA (24 McGregor Court, St. Thomas, ON N5P 4H7)
Families wishing to join the waitlist can register through the St. Thomas-Elgin Child Care Waitlist.
Mayor Joe Preston welcomed the announcement, emphasizing the importance of expanding access to child care for local families.
“Access to affordable, reliable child care is essential for families in St. Thomas and a key part of building a strong, vibrant community,” said Mayor Joe Preston. “These additional spaces help ensure parents have the support they need to participate fully in the workforce while knowing their children are in safe, high-quality early learning environments.”
