Posted on 06/19/2026

One of St. Thomas’ most anticipated events of the year is back and bigger than ever.

The City of St. Thomas invites residents and visitors to celebrate Canada Day on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 1Password Park. Festivities begin at 4 p.m. and continue through the evening, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display at 10 p.m. courtesy of K & H Fireworks.

This free, family-friendly celebration will feature live music, free inflatables and games, a petting zoo, a Police K9 demonstration, walking soccer, children's activities, and a vendor alley featuring 50 local artisans and businesses. Visitors can also enjoy the playground and splash pad throughout the evening.

Highlights include a performance by the St. Thomas Police Pipes & Drums, musical entertainment by John Milles, and free ice cream cake courtesy of The Ice Box following the official welcome ceremonies at 6 p.m.

Food and refreshments will be available for purchase from the St. Thomas Kinsmen Club and Optimist Club, as well as The Ice Box concession stand.

The City of St. Thomas extends its gratitude to Canadian Heritage for its support through the Celebration and Commemoration Program, and to the St. Thomas Kinsmen Club for its contribution to the fireworks display.

Attendees are reminded that there is no ATM available on site, and are encouraged to bring cash if they plan to purchase food or shop with vendors.
