Effective May 1, 2025, strong mayor powers were introduced under Part VI.1 of the Municipal Act, 2001 to the City St. Thomas.
The legislation assigns various duties to the Mayor, only some of which can be delegated to others. When exercising powers, a written record through Mayoral Decisions must be made available to the public, which are published below.
