Woodworth Sewage Pumping Station (SPS) Construction
4 Joyce Street

Work on Woodworth Sewage Pumping Station (SPS) will begin on Monday April  6th. The new SPS will be built to the north of the existing SPS and will take approximately 2 years to construct, starting in 2026 and finishing in Spring 2028. To safely complete the project, Woodworth Avenue north of Joyce Street will be closed.

The Woodworth SPS project is an essential piece of infrastructure that will accommodate the growing demand for sewage conveyance in the City. The new Woodworth SPS has a unique opportunity to operate as a swing station, meaning that there is flexibility to convey sewage flows to both the existing Sunset Water Reclamation Facility (WRF), and ultimately will be the main supply to the new Dalewood WRF
