2022 Municipal Election

Voting Period - Remote Internet and Telephone Voting from October 11, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. to October 24, 2022 at 8:00 p.m.

Internet voting allows electors to vote from any location with an available internet connection on computers, tablets, and cell phones. Telephone voting allows electors to call from any touch-tone dial pad, toll-free, if calling within Canada and the United States.

Nomination Period - begins May 2, 2022

Nomination Day - last day to be nominated - August 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.

Nominations, in the prescribed form, must be submitted in person or by an agent, and must be accompanied with the filing fee of $200 if seeking the office of Mayor or $100 if seeking the office of Councillor or Trustee by cash, certified cheque, money order, Visa, Mastercard, or Interac payment. Nomination forms must also be accompanied by an Endorsement of Nomination form, containing the signatures of 25 qualified electors.

List of Candidates 

Third Party Advertisers - Individuals, corporations, trade unions may file a Notice of Registration as a Third Party Advertiser from May 2nd to October 21, 2022. Third party advertisement means an advertisement in any broadcast, print, electronic or other medium that has the purpose of promoting, supporting or opposing a candidate.
