Home Child Care Providers will:
- Be able to build positive and trustworthy relationships with children and families
- Follow Canada’s Food Guide to provide healthy meals and snacks daily
- Read, understand, and follow the Ministry of Education and Elgin Home Child Care policies
- Follow How Does Learning Happen? from Ontario’s Pedagogy for Early Years
- Provide criminal reference checks and Children’s Aid Society background checks
- Be willing to participate in professional learning opportunities
