Conservation and Demand Management Plan
The City of St. Thomas’ 2025–2030 Energy Conservation and Demand Management (CDM) Plan outlines the City’s approach to managing energy use across municipal operations over the next five years.
The plan builds on previous energy conservation efforts and identifies opportunities to improve operational efficiency, manage energy costs and support the long-term sustainability of City facilities and assets.
The plan is prepared in accordance with Ontario Regulation 507/18 under the Electricity Act, 1998, which requires municipalities and other broader public sector organizations to report on energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions and update their energy conservation and demand management plans every five years.
