Recreation Subsidies

The City of St. Thomas is committed to making recreation accessible to all residents. While we do not currently offer municipal subsidies for recreation programs, camps or aquatics, we partner with community organizations to support families in need.

In partnership with Acti-i-Pass, we offer free access to select recreation programs and facilities for children in Grade 5 during the school year.

Who is eligible: children currently enrolled in Grade 5 in St. Thomas

How to register: visit the Acti-i-Pass website to apply. Schools distribute passes in partnership with the Middlesex-London Health Unit.

What you can use it for:

  • 1 sessional sport or dance program for the year ($45 value), for the child the pass is issued to only (no plus-one welcome) and must be a course with no waitlist
  • drop-in public skates or public swims, with a plus-one welcome. Use it for 4 free skates or swims with a friend,

You cannot use the Acti-i-Pass toward other programs and pay the difference, or apply it toward skate passes.

Helps children ages 4 to 18 take part in organized sports and recreation. Funding can cover registration fees, equipment and more. Applications are open year-round, and families must meet income-based eligibility criteria.
