The Annual Fire Hydrant Flushing Program is starting September 11th, 2023 and will continue until September 28th, 2023. Residents may experience water discolouration and pressure fluctuations as a result of routine water main flushing. HIgher flow rates used in flushing have the potential of releasing particles of rust from the interior surfaces of older, cast iron water mains. Water discolouration from this maintenance task does not represent a drinking water quality concern, however, customers are advised to avoid washing laundry if they notice discolouration.
