Bus Stops and shelters are located along each bus route.  Individual time tables are now available for each route shown below.  All routes are effective March 29, 2021

There is no transit service on the following statutory holidays: New Years Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Boxing Day.

On demand fares are same as regular fares but are paid using the app

*New* Now available – Digital Monthly Bus Passes – Purchase the 30 day monthly bus pass in the RCT-On Demand App using your credit card. Using it on conventional transit is as simple as presenting the RCT On-Demand bus pass screen to the driver as proof of purchase. Ensure your screen is brightly lite and provide the driver a moment to read the pass when boarding.

***PLEASE NOTE*** - The 10-Ride Bundle digital bus tickets are only usable for On-Demand trips and are used as bookings are made. Conventional transit can only accept physical bus tickets at this time.

Passenger Fare Classifications

• Adult (19 - 64 years)
• School Student (5 - 18 years)
• Child (5 - 18 years)
• Senior (65+ years)

Children under 5 (with parent or guardian) and attendants ride free. 

Student is a passenger who presents a valid student’s card to the bus driver. Any student who fails to present a valid student’s card shall be required to pay a full adult fare. 

What if I need to transfer?

Transfers to St. Thomas Transit buses are free.  Transfers are issued only upon request at the time a fare is paid. They can only be used to complete a one-way trip.

The transfer is not valid on previously traveled routes. Expired transfers are not accepted. St. Thomas Transit is not responsible for lost, stolen or mutilated transfers. 

What is Priority and Courtesy Seating?

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) requires businesses and organizations to provide accessible services to people with disabilities.  The goal is for Ontario to be fully accessible by 2025. 

The Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR, 191-11), is a standard developed under the AODA which includes 80 accessibility standards relating to transportation, employment, and information and communications. Compliance dates set out in the IASR range from July 2011 through January 2021. 

In compliance with Section 49 of Regulation 191-11, Ontario’s public transit authorities now provide Priority seating designated for use by passengers with disabilities.

Transit authorities recognize there are other customer who would also benefit from having a seat near the front of the bus. A Courtesy seating area has been designated for seniors, expectant mothers, adults traveling with infants/small children or any other customer who may benefit from a seat near the front of the bus.

Can my service animal or other pet ride along with me?
Service animals are welcome. Pets are not allowed on St. Thomas Transit Services. 
Can I my child ride the bus in a stroller?

No, to ensure safety to all passengers, children must be removed from strollers and the stroller must be collapsed to fit between seats. Non collapsible strollers are prohibited. For safety reasons, children capable of sitting on their own must sit on a seat and not on an adults lap.

Wagons/tricycles/bicycles are prohibited 

Can I smoke on the bus?
No, smoking is prohibited on the buses or in the bus shelters.
