Project Overview

Work Involved

  • At Waterworks park existing asphalt paths between islands in the north ponds will be overlaid with new asphalt.  An existing culvert will also be replaced with a new pedestrian bridge.  Select sidewalk panels will be replaced south of the parking lots and a ditch will be regraded and erosion mitigation measures enhanced.
  • At Pinafore Park an existing asphalt path at the north end of the park will be replaced.
  • At Shaw Valley a path will be installed from the east to west ends of the park.
  • A section of gravel path west of Melrose Court that connects to the trail along Southdale Line will be transitioned to asphalt


  • Work will occur over the summer.  Select work in Waterworks park will not occur until the fall due to environmental constraints.
