Landscaping at City Hall

The recent removal of the declining crab apple trees in front of City Hall was done as a first step to allow for the rejuvenation of the 1992 landscape near the front entrance.  Our tree service contractor will be removing the remaining shrubs that line the bottom of the front façade when the ground warms up in order for the complete removal of all plant material and stumps.

Once all of the plant material has been properly removed, staff will be amending the soil, planting new trees, shrubs and perennials and enhancing the existing annual show.  This will show off the architectural features of City Hall, allow for more light in through the windows and create a fresh long term landscape.
